Ginga Program
Turning warm-ups into dancing
The Ginga Program was born from an alarming truth: women are up to six times more likely to suffer an ACL tear, an injury that can be up to 50% preventable with proper training from an early age. To address this, Gatorade developed a science-backed warm-up routine inspired by Brazil’s signature movement, the ginga, in collaboration with the medical team of the women’s national football team. Launched with national team player Tamires and pop singer Izzy, the program shows that injury prevention can have rhythm, attitude, and cultural power. By combining performance, science, and representation, Ginga turns warm-ups into a new starting point for women’s football.
